Born in Chicago and raised in the North Shore, Julie offers her clients a unique perspective to the Chicagoland market. Julie was inspired to begin her real state career after helping friends find their dream homes in her northside neighborhood where she has lived for over 25 years. Julie holds a bachelor’s in science from Tufts University and a master’s in occupational therapy from Columbia University. She draws on her analytical skills to ensure her clients financial and real estate goals are always met. Prior to becoming a licensed real estate broker, Julie was an occupational therapist and full-time mother to twins, where she honed her ability to creatively solve problems and aptly manage budgets and expectations. Her entrepreneurial spirit later led her to partner with the owner of a local vintage fashion boutique, allowing her to explore her interest in fashion and design.
Julie believes that connection and communication are the foundation to a successful home search. Compassionate and empathetic, she understands that buying and selling a home may be an emotional time for her clients and goes above and beyond to ensure a smooth transaction. Julie is an expert negotiator, advocating for her clients to guarantee their real estate goals are met. She’s known for her meticulous attention to detail, and prides herself on her hands-on, client-focused approach.
Julie comes from a long line of intrepid entrepreneurs—her grandfather immigrated to the United States in 1903, going on to build an incredibly successful family business from the ground up. Julie was raised and worked in this business that her father took over. This allowed her to develop not only business acumen but a tireless work ethic that informs and guides her to this day. In her free time, Julie volunteers with several local philanthropic organizations. She serves on the board of The American Jewish Committee among others, and regularly volunteers at Chicago’s Lakeview Pantry.
